Turtlebox has an IP67 Water Ingress Protection Rating meaning it's completely sealed from water and dust. You can throw Turtlebox in a pool, drop it in a lake, wash it off with a jet hose, and it’ll still play loud and clear.

Note: Though the Turtlebox is waterproof,  special precautions must be heeded when using your speaker:

1. Always keep the port cover closed around water.

2. Do NOT allow your speaker to be exposed to any water or moisture while it is being charged or while it is plugged into a power outlet. Doing so can raise the risk of electric shock and also cause damage to your speaker. 

3. If the speaker is exposed to salt water, wash it off withfresh water after use. Treat it like a nice fishing reel.
