A: Depends on your use case. The Cub is better suited for indoor environments, garage environment, smaller outdoor gatherings of 10 or less people, or other hangouts of that nature. The Original is better suited for larger outdoor gatherings, or spaces you need a fuller sound. The Original is going to have more bass and better sound carry distance versus the Cub.
Other basic spec difference between the 2 speakers include:
- The Original has a 6x9in. woofer versus the 5x5in. on the Cub
- The Original is 10lbs versus the Cub at 5lbs
- The Original has a mic and aux port while the Cub does not offer either of these
- The Original has a bigger battery pack and longer battery life than that of the Cub
- Total play time for the Original is 30+ hours at 50% volume versus the Cub at up to roughly 24 hours of playtime at 50% volume
- The Original uses a 15V / 3.0A barrel charger versus the Cub using a USB-C charger
- The Original is going to offer more bass and overall sound output than the Cub
